Tour Summary
Photographic Workshop: Purnululu East Kimberley Landscapes
30 April-4 May 2022
Kununurra – Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle Range) – Ord River, Western Australia
NT Bird Specialists and Jay Collier from the Photographers Collective are partnering up for a 4th year to bring you this new and exclusive Western Australian photographic experience (4 nights plus 5 full days touring).
Join us on an awe-inspiring landscape photography workshop through remote East Kimberley World Heritage sites where you’ll be professionally led by specialist bird and wildlife guide Luke Paterson (21 year’s experience in northern Australia) and wildlife and landscape photography educator Jay Collier (15 years experience Australia & Africa).
We’ll immerse you in timeless landscapes while photographing some of the region’s most striking and significant geological features from the ground and air, both day and night. Trial and learn new techniques to capture dramatic scenes amongst and above the striped Bee Hive Dome formations of the Bungle Bungle Range.
Embark on a privately-chartered helicopter for an aerial photoshoot in the early morning light and choose to do a second optional flight if desired, as well as astro photography after a nightly two-course dinner. Using intimate local knowledge, we’ll set you up amongst 350 million-year-old arid gorges and lookouts to photograph country inhabited for over 20,000 years by the Djaru and Gija aboriginal traditional owners.
*Private transport, chartered helicopter flight, photography lectures and field tuition is included throughout. All camera brands and experience levels welcome. Non-photographing partners welcome.
We only use and support local operators in this unique photographic package.
*See itinerary notes section for more details.
