Beyond birds and fish, Harn’s interests extend to the beauty of orchids, reptiles and the captivating world of Utricularia (Bladderworts), blending a unique array of passions that fuel his deep love for nature.
Harn is also a foodie and a great cook!
You’ll often find Harn chasing vagrant sightings on a stormy day in Darwin.
When asked if he’s a twitcher, Harn replied
“Yes, I’m definitely a twitcher. I like to challenge myself to find rarities and lifers whenever I go birding on my own both within the Northern Territory and beyond, as time permits.
I enjoy spending time to learn each bird’s habits which helps me anticipate their behaviour and better position myself for improved photo opportunities.
And while I’m away, I always slot in some time to taste the local cuisine!”
