Our 5 day ‘Kakadu – Top End Birding, Wildlife & Nature Experience’ provides fantastic chances to view many Top End specialty birds and wildlife in amazing habitats, including Rainbow Pitta, Hooded Parrot (endemic), Gouldian Finch and diverse waterbirds.
You’ll also seek reptiles (Frill-neck Lizard, Saltwater and Freshwater Crocodiles, freshwater turtles, monitor species) and mammals (Agile Wallaby, Wilkin’s Rock Wallaby, Antilopine and Black Wallaroo (endemic), Northern Brown Bandicoot, micro and fruit bat species) and more.
Explore two Aboriginal rock art and occupation sites, home regional and endemic species and cruise Ramsar-listed waterways to view abundant bird and reptile-life in lily-covered wetlands.
Embark on several short walks (easy to moderate grade, up to 3-6 km) in various tropical habitats in the huge and diverse World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, and enjoy urban birding in towns and nature reserves along the 1,200km+ Top End circuit.
