Choosing the Right Tour For You
We are more than happy to discuss suitable tour options for your interests and cater to special requests on a private chartered tour.
You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness to cope with bush walking and short stairs-like climbs on walking tracks during group tours, as well as being outside in warm to hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time. Private tours can have higher or lower levels of activity to suit you.

Group sizes and other tours we use
NT Bird Specialists run personalised birdwatching and photography tours with unique cultural insights in the packaged experiences. To keep the service personalised, groups sizes remain small, usually 2-4 or 5-8 passengers in a comfortable 4WD or modern mini-van. We form part of larger groups when travelling on public boat cruises. Private boat cruises are booked on request and subject to availability.
If larger groups wish to book, please contact us for a quote. Our tours require a two, three or four guest minimum payment to depart (depending on itinerary).

There are different kinds of bird watchers and nature-lovers and luckily, we can cater to you all.
Group tours
- Your choice of date
We run group tours for the majority of the year.
If you are the first to book on a tour on dates of your choice) and are happy to leave it open for others to join,
the price will be set per person twin share rate (single supplements apply), with a minimum payment of two people required to depart.
On group tours you can make life-long birding friends and memories.
- Fixed Date
We set tours with fixed dates throughout the year. The prices are set at a per person twin share rate (single supplements apply), usually with a minimum of 3 or 4 and maximum of 6 (photography tours) or 8 guests (birding and wildlife tours).

Private Charter (standard itinerary or Choose Your Own Adventure)
If you would like sole use of our services, request a ‘private charter’. Prices vary according to each request and can be tailored to your needs.

Accommodation
Rates are based on en-suited or standard (some shared amenities) accommodation as stated on each itinerary. Camping options are on modern stretcher tent beds and en-suited hotel is included on night one of fixed date tours. Luxury accommodation can be booked on private itineraries where conducive to great birding conditions.

Travel Insurance
We recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy prior to departure of our tour, which covers you for the duration of our tour.
Meals and Dietary Requirements

If you have any food allergies please ensure to tell us before the departure of the tour so that we can cater for you. Breakfasts and lunches will quite often be eaten outdoors on location whilst we bird watch. Dinners will be eaten in restaurants close to the nightly accommodation.
Seat Rotation
You are most welcome to change seats in our vehicles to share all the views with other guests throughout the tour.

Your booking is confirmed once we receive your ‘Commitment Deposit’ (20% of initial booking price).
